Terms of Service

The rules for using the RouteRTL services: the registry, IP submissions, the trial, free registration and Pro support.

Draft, pending owner approval

Scope

These terms apply to the services operated by Daniel J. Mazure, Zurich, Switzerland, under the RouteRTL name: the package registry, IP submission, trial and licence issuance, and support. By registering, requesting a trial or submitting IP, you accept these terms.

The software itself is covered by its own licences (MIT for the shell, PolyForm Shield for the core). See commercial use and licensing. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Registry use and IP submissions

Acceptable use. When you use the registry, you must not:

  • submit IP that you do not have the right to publish;
  • submit malicious code, or code that infringes the rights of others;
  • claim a namespace that impersonates another person or organisation;
  • use automated access in a way that degrades the service for other users;
  • work around the licence checks of the RouteRTL tools.

Licence grant for submitted metadata. You keep ownership of the IP you submit, and your source code stays under the licence you declare. You grant RouteRTL a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, index, display and distribute the metadata of your submission (for example its name, description, version, declared licence, repository location and scan results), so that the registry can list and serve it.

We may remove a submission or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

Trial and free registration

A free registry account lets you publish IP and claim namespaces.

The 30-day trial (rr license trial) is limited to one trial per email address and machine. Creating extra accounts or changing the machine identifier to obtain another trial is not allowed. When the trial ends, the Pro features stop working; the free features keep working.

Pro subscription and support

Pending owner and legal review

A Pro subscription gives access to the Pro features listed on the pricing page for the subscription term.

Support is given by email at support@routertl.dev. It covers the use of the RouteRTL tools and services. It does not cover the design or debugging of your own RTL, or third-party vendor tools. Price, term and any response times are agreed in writing for each subscription; those written terms control if they conflict with this page.

Diagnosis is help, not a warranty

rr diagnose, the “ask routertl” chat and any other suggestion we give are help, not a warranty of correctness. A diagnosis can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for checking it and for the designs you build, program and ship.

Limitation of liability

The services are provided as they are and as available. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential damage, lost profit, lost data and damage to hardware. Liability for intent and gross negligence is not limited.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland. The place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Questions about these terms: support@routertl.dev. See also the legal notice.
